Security Screens for Public Housing

TAPCO has had over 50 years of experience with providing products for HUD and public housing.  We use high quality aluminum framing and stainless steel wire, because we understand the need for a dependable product that can withstand the heavy traffic that housing authorities experience.  Our goal for public housing is to provide a curb appealing product that helps residents feel safe, prevents storm damage to the window, and saves money through energy efficiency.

Surface Mounted Frames

Whether you are applying a screen directly to the window or around the window trim, we have frame options that meet your needs.  See below for drawings on our surface mounted sub-frames, or our surface mounted main frames.

Inset Frames

There are a number of ways to apply a screen on a recessed window, but our inset frame makes the job a lot easier by eliminating the need to use build-out. Simply place the frame in the opening, adjust for squareness, and anchor it down. The low-profile adds a clean flush finish to your building.

This is a perfect option for housing authorities undergoing window replacements. This newly developed screen is designed to be installed between the screen pockets of a double-hung window; saving your window from any screw holes or possible damages during installation.
